A Trip to the Island of Corsica Via Wine and Dinner, You’re Invited
You are officially invited to embark on a rare culinary journey, a Corsica Wine Dinner, here at Lacroix in The Rittenhouse Hotel.
Transport yourself through food, wine and conversation to the Mediterranean French island of Corsica, a place unmarred by time, or the fast pace of the world.
As we head to Corsica through stories and sipping, Executive Chef Jon Cichon will prepare a six-course masterpiece with wines from the most experienced and respected families on the island. Special guest and wine expert Lyle Railsback of Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant will also be there to help guide the evening.
Topics on the table? We’ll discuss Corsica terroirs and how vintners tend to their grapes, all while getting inspired by selections such as:
YVES LECCIA, a family who has been making wine from some of the finest terroirs of Patrimonio for countless generations.
COMTE ABBATUCCI, a renowned name from Jean-Charles Abbatucci, who, “To keep his vines happy, (was) known to drive his tractor out to his vineyards and play traditional Corsican polyphonic songs over loudspeakers for their benefit.”
ANTOINE ARENA, by bon vivant Antoine and his wife Marie, who toiled to put Patrimonio on the French appellation map. They succeeded and it is now recognized as one of the best on the island.
We hope you’ll join us for this special event. Please email or call us to reserve your seat at the table!
