Enjoy the Apple Festival at Peddler’s Village
Pumpkins probably come to mind when you think of fall flavors, but apples offer a rich and crisp taste unlike any other. From November 4 to 5, spend an autumnal afternoon at the Apple Festival at Peddler’s Village. This storied event, now in its 48th year, celebrates the abundance of apple season in all its splendor.
You can sip on warm apple cider, enjoy live entertainment, indulge in apple-themed treats, and more. Admission to this rain-or-shine event is completely free and is the perfect way to embrace the festivities of fall, with the charming surroundings of Peddler’s Village.
Bring the Family to Pumpkin Patch Tea
Visit the Mary Cassatt Tea Room for a delightful addition to our Afternoon Tea series, specifically curated for our youngest guests. The Pumpkin Patch Tea will run from October 28 to 29 and is the perfect way to unwind in a picturesque space with your kids. Like our Teddy Bear Tea during the winter holidays, this fall event offers a seasonal menu, hot apple cider, autumnal teas, and a heartwarming storytime in our courtyard. Each child will leave with a pumpkin and a Peter Rabbit stuffed animal as a keepsake of this charming afternoon.
Expand your Palate at Anatomy Eats Dinner
Try something new with Anatomy Eats Dinner on October 25—an evening of refined flavors and engaging conversation at Lacroix. Chef Eric Leveillee will present a five-course culinary experience that explores the richness of offal-based dishes. What makes this event truly unique is our special guest, Dr. Jonathan Reisman, who will delve into the fascinating nature of each ingredient.
Reisman started the Anatomy Eats series to show how intricately animal organs work and how they can be tied into the art of fine dining. You’ll leave mesmerized by the vibrant flavors. Enjoy the thrill of this seasonally fitting event before Halloween weekend. Please note that tickets are required for this memorable gastronomic journey.
Discover FallFest at Shady Brook Farm
Just a short drive from The Rittenhouse, Bucks County’s Shady Brook Farm offers a family-friendly FallFest. The festival runs through October 29. Get in the Halloween spirit with wagon rides, barnyard animals, and pick-your-own sunflowers. Explore the five-acre corn maze before cozying up to the fire pit. After dark, hop on the special wagon ride for the not-so-spooky Eerie Illuminations Halloween light show. The show features friendly ghosts and dancing characters.
Explore the Art of Cuisine at Chef’s Table
For those who see food as its own art form, enjoy an up-close look at The Rittenhouse’s culinary mastery. Chef’s Table offers the unique opportunity to watch our team of executive chefs craft a vibrant menu right in the Lacroix kitchen. Each dish is thoughtfully paired with wines selected by our expert sommelier, making every bite and sip its own event.
Sip on Themed Cocktails at Library Bar
Step into the intimacy of Library Bar, a literature-inspired cocktail bar at The Rittenhouse. This season, our specialty menu theme is “Comic Books & Graphic Novels”. Add a new layer of intrigue to your hand-crafted cocktails. Discover imaginative combinations inspired by your favorite comic book characters and stories, all in a chic hideaway.
