Philadelphia Art Exhibition by Lauren Dombrowiak: An Edifice Spectrum

Inspired by Victorian motifs of the domestic sphere, Lauren Dombrowiak presents a new art exhibition at the Philadelphia Art Alliance. Her sculpture art includes tower-like forms created out of dinnerware, mirrors, wood furnishings and other household objects. Fragile in form and expertly balanced, these works of art change function to form before your very eyes. Lauren Dombrowiak: An Edifice Spectrum runs from September 11 through November 30 this fall. The art exhibition consists of two parts. The first project features several large towers of porcelain dinnerware, combined with oversized wall stencils influence by Victoria paisley design. Countering this display is the second portion of the exhibition, an ethereal collection of materials found in nature, home décor and accessories – all lit from the interior.
